Mitake

The length from shoulder to hem.

Kitake

The length of a kimono.

Yuki

The width from the center of the back of the neck to the end of the sleeve.

Katahaba

The width of the shoulders.

Erikata-aki

The bottom of collar. Generally, men's is 9cm / Women's 5cm.

Eri-saki

The collar end. The bottom short edge of collar. you may use the same fabric used for Erimawashi.

Kake-eri

The collar protect kimono's collar from dirt. You may use for the same fabric used for collar and something different.

Sodetake

The length of sleeve. The length of sleeves. The end part of a collar.

Sodehaba

Sleeve width. From shoulder top to length you want the sleeve.

Sodetsuke

The armhole seam. Attaching a sleeve to the body of kimono.

Sodeguchi

Sleeve opening.

Sodeshita

The length under collar.

Sodeyama

The top of the sleeve. The borderline between Maemigoro and Ushiromigoro.

Miyatsuguchi

Opening under armhole/ Slit under arm/armpit of women's kimono.

Okumi

The two parts at the front of the kimono running from collar to hem. Usually half the width of a bolt of silk.

Okumisaki

The bottom short edge of collar. Also, called as 'Kensaki'.

Maemigoro

The front side panel.

Ushiromigoro

The back part of a kimono.

Hakkake

The inside cloth used around cuff and hem. It should be matching with the color of the kimono fabric.

Ohashori

The layer around the waist. It depends on the person but generally 18cm.
