How Do Rakuten International Shipping Services Work?

STEP 01 　Shopping at Rakuten International Shipping Services site:
	Rakuten International Shipping Services are currently available only for registered articles at our service page. Other articles are not supported under Rakuten International Shipping Services.
STEP 02 　Order acknowledgement and payment
	Shops will email you an acknowledgement of your order with a total cost (cost of articles and shipping charges). Please check your order and make payment by acceptable credit cards.
STEP 03 　Shipping notice and tracking number
	Shops will verify your credit card and email you a tracking number when your order is dispatched.
STEP 04 　Delivery of order
	Your order will be delivered to your designated address. Please pay customs duties and taxes (if applicable) directly to the delivery agents upon delivery. ※ Membership registration is not required to shop at Rakuten. To learn how to shop at Rakuten, please read our helpful guide. ※ Please note there are Prohibited and Restricted Goods in each country.

Customs Duty and Other Taxes

Customs duty and other taxes may be levied when a shipment reaches your country. If applicable, please pay those costs directly to the delivery agents or the customs office. Policies on those taxes vary in each country. Please contact the customs office at your country for more details.

Return Policy

Most of our participating shops do not accept returned goods.　Some shops arrange insurance against damages during the transportation. Please ask each shop for further details.

Payment Method

Most of our participating shops accept credit cards. Visa, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, and Diners are acceptable.
Shops may accept other payment methods. Please ask shops directly to see if there are other payment methods acceptable.

Payments are all on a Japanese Yen basis. Please check with your card companies for the applicable exchange rate.

Cost

The cost of articles and shipping rates will be charged at the time of purchase. In addition, import duties and taxes may be levied once a shipment reaches your country. Please pay those costs directly to the delivery agents or the customs office upon delivery. Rakuten and participating shops have no control over those charges. Please contact the customs office at your county for more details.

1. Limitations

For articles shipped internationally, any manufacturer warranty may not be applicable. Articles may not be designed for destination country standards, specifications and labeling requirements. Customers are responsible for lawful import of purchased items at destination country.
The recipients must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country for its usage.
Customers are responsible for checking to see if the item can be imported prior to the purchase transaction.

2. Purchase of multiple items
Procedures for purchase of multiple items at a shop are as follows.
a. Choose articles for purchase and put them into shopping basket.
b. Return to the top page of the same shop and look for other articles.
c. Repeat step (a) and confirm that all the articles for purchase are put into the shopping cart.
d. Click the button marked ‘Proceed to Checkout’and continue.

Please note that we only take orders from a single shop at the time of each purchase.
If you would like to buy multiple articles at multiple shops, you need to place orders at each shop respectively.

3. Shipping charges for multiple orders at multiple shops
　Many shops sell various articles at Rakuten Ichiba. Each shop has a system of acceptable payments and their systems differ.
　Therefore, single payment for multiple orders is not accepted.

　Each shop dispatches each order and shipping charges need to be paid for each item ordered.

4. Do you accept credit cards for payments? Is it safe to enter my credit card information when placing orders?

VISA, Master, JCB, AMEX, and Diners are acceptable for your payment at most of our participating shops.
The order information will be transmitted to Rakuten system through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) after encryption.

5. Prices

Prices at Rakuten Ichiba either display the consumption tax in the final list price or present the item price and amount of tax separately following a rule implemented by Japanese government from April 1, 2004.

6. Is Rakuten membership required to shop at Rakuten?

7. There is no reply from shops.

Shops deal with many orders each day and it may take some time to reply to you especially the next day when the shop has many orders to fulfill and/or during shop holidays. Please contact shops directly in case of urgency.

8. Order cancellation notice

You will receive cancellation notices via emails in case of order cancellations. Orders may be cancelled in the following cases:
　・Cancellation following customers’ requests
　・Non-completion of ordering process due to various reasons
Please contact shops directly if you have any inquiries about cancellation emails you may have received.

9. Getting details about articles
　Please contact shops directly for information on articles.

10. Confirmation emails are not received.
　Here are the possible reasons:
　　・The registered email address is wrong.
　　・Problems with your Internet service providers (ISP)
　　・The confirmation email is filtered as spam.
